Dopey 2024 Costumes Reveal!

Can you believe that we’re only a mere 11 days until the 2024 WDW Marathon Weekend?! I think one of the coolest things about runDisney is seeing all the costumes runners come up with. That’s why I’m so excited to share my Dopey 2024 costumes!

This time around, I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a costume, especially since I would be running four days. It was also important for me to have a central theme. boom baby! Why not The Emperor’s New Groove?!

In case you didn’t know, the Emperor’s New Groove is one of the funniest Disney movies ever! Like, I can still watch it and enjoy it to this day. Not to mention there’s four main characters, so I could totally do one character a day. It was settled.

For my outfits, I decided on Disneybounding (using regular clothes in different colors to resemble Disney characters). I also crocheted ears to match every costume. Searching for the cherry on top, I found the cutest llama extract earrings on Etsy that I plan to wear for each race.

I have been working on these costumes since I got my Dopey confirmation email in April for a normal amount of time and I’m super excited with how they turned out! Have you ever ran a race in a costume? How did it go?
